Andreas Müller Carries Revival to Morningside Farmers Market May 28
Kickstart Saturday morning, May 28, with a bit of Revival. Executive chef Andreas Müller is stopping by Morningside Farmers Market to lead this Saturday’s chef demo before hunkering down in his kitchen at the Decatur restaurant. The homegrown fruits, vegetables and fresh foods of Müller’s boyhood in Sweden stuck, igniting a passion for seeking farm-fresh ingredients throughout his chef-hood. Bingo. Hits the asparagus on the head for a farmers market cooking class. Shop the year-round market for locally grown organic from 8-11:30 a.m. but peel yourself away around 9-ish for this demo on the patio of market-adjacent Morningside Kitchen. Another reason to praise the morning, Morningside Farmers Market requires all produce to be certified organic.

Article 14 Monthly Cheese Dinner Presents Nature’s Harmony Farm Handmade Cheeses June 10

Article 14 spreads the word on Georgia cheesemaker Nature’s Harmony Farm at this month’s cheese dinner on Wednesday, June 10. Using Old World techniques, the farm handcrafts cheeses that earn global recognition here in the home state and as far away as England and South Africa on championship circuits. The Elberton farm first forayed into artisanal cheesemaking in 2010. Taking time to hand stir and hand hoop the raw milk cheeses and letting them age slowly and develop natural rinds turns out the distinctive cheeses guests will savor during Article 14 executive chef Chris Blobaum’s four-course dinner with wine pairings. An American Cheese Society certified cheese expert will be at the dinner to answer questions. $45 per person (tax and gratuity not included). Reservations: 404-443-8432.

A New Restaurant Opening in Midtown Brings Sustainable Food and Upbeat Atmosphere
Brothers Sean and Gilbert Yeremyan are bringing a new restaurant and lounge to the Midtown community called 10th & Piedmont, taking the place of the former Outwrite bookstore space. The brothers have created an eclectic atmosphere with diverse flair to continue the tradition that Gilbert's Cafe and Bar and the former bookstore brought to the iconic corner. Executive Chef Brett Ring brings fresh, seasonal and organic produce and artfully designed plates to match guest's cravings for brunch, lunch, dinner or late night meals. Tasty offerings include Southern arancini with blue cheese grits and tomato marmalade; lamb meatballs with red currants, tomato glaze and pickled cucumber spaghetti; and SoCo cured salmon roulade with whipped goat cheese, roasted red peppers, lemon vinaigrette and fried capers atop a bagel crisp. The extensive beverage menu is sure to quench your thirst with a variety of hand-crafted cocktails, worldly vodkas, an international red and white wine list and craft bottled or canned beers.
Sunday offers patrons a little fun with a Bellini brunch from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. followed by an afternoon tea dance with a live DJ from 4 p.m. to close. Lunch is offered with counter service Monday-Friday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and with table service on Saturday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. 10th & Piedmont serves dinner nightly followed by a late-night menu offered daily once dinner service has ended and lasting until 2 a.m. Monday-Saturday and until midnight on Sunday.
