New Belgium Beer Dinner Brings New Varieties to Georgia

Everybody already knows that Ormsby’s is a good place to go to kick back with friends and enjoy a few brewskies, but next Tuesday, March 2nd brings a special event there that will have Atlanta’s beer-lovers foaming at the mouth! Join Ormsby's as they welcome staff from New Belgium Brewery to introduce 3 new beers to Georgia, including one that will only be sold in select venues (including Ormsby’s, of course!)

Each dish on the menu sounds delicious and is specially paired with a specific beer for maximum yumminess – including pimento cheese fritters, boiled peanut hummus, Fat Tire battered cod fingers, red wine braised shortribs with creamy Parmesan polenta and Swiss chard, & chocolate bread pudding with cherry crème anglaise. They had us at pimento cheese fritters! Dinner is $40 excluding tax and gratuity and starts at 6:30 p.m. – call Ormsby’s now at 404.968.2033 to reserve your spot.

It’s A Hot Mess… Only Days Left!

We know – your mama told you not to play with your food. Don’t tell your mother, but RA Sushi is changing that rule by not only inviting you to play with your food, but asking you to photograph your playtime!

Their “It’s A Hot Mess” contest invites guests to snap a picture of their delicious Hot Mess roll and get creative with it! Just upload the picture in the category of “Hottest Mess”, “Anything Goes”, “Messiest Mess”, “Biggest Hot Mess” on the contest’s Flickr site and get your friends to jump in and comment for your chance to win a $100 gift certificate or other prizes. Time to Open That Bottle of Wine

Have you been saving your bottle of wine for a special occasion that hasn't quite happened yet? Something more than just a night sitting around the house. Well, Saturday night should be that night! On Saturday, February 27, people across America will be celebrating Open That Bottle Night. And since a bottle of wine should be shared with good food, several Atlanta restaurants are waiving their corkage fees for this night only. So dust off that that bottle of wine and make an evening of it with food and friends. If you just want to get in on the fun wine action, then why not try one of Georgia's own Wolf Mountain Vineyards & Winery’s wines? Last month, this North Georgia winery was a big winner in the 2010 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.

There’s no way better to celebrate this special holiday than with a delicious Swirl margarita from Uncle Julio’s Fine Mexican Food. Looks gorgeous, tastes phenomenal and goes with everything on Uncle Julio's well-endowed menu.
