Pick the pocket. Order the OMG Hot Pocket ($12) at HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern. Smoked pulled pork, mac and cheese and HOBNOB honey sauce plump this flaky “Tavern Specialty.” It’s nigh on impossible to refrain from inhaling the smoky-cheesy-carb combination. And yes, mom, it comes with salad.

Pig Roast is Boss Hog at Ray’s on the River October 17


Salute the swine with your bestie boar-friends when Ray’s on the River hosts a riverside pig roast on Saturday, October 17 from noon-3 p.m. A high-on-the-hog buffet boasts a whole roasted pig with homemade sauces, crunchy herb slaw, Red Bliss potato salad, homemade Maytag chips, classic mac and cheese and Southern-style cornbread joined by a salad bar, homemade desserts, iced tea and soda. Visit the cash bar for alcoholic beverages. $40 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Glistening under a SweetWater Blue-honey barbecue glaze, HOBNOB baby back ribs are the ultimate finger food. Be gentle, the meat is fall-off-the-bone tender. Keep one hand on the fork to spear every morsel of rib mates jalapeƱo mac and cheese, garlic green beans and the onion ring, which is way too big for your finger ($16).
