Georgia Heirloom Apples and Seasonal Bounty Load Revival Fall Menu

Apples are falling a little farther from their North Georgia trees and onto the autumn menu at Revival. Kevin Gillespie and chef Andreas Müller are taking advantage of access to a healthy supply of heirloom apples by adding classic cinnamon baked apples with vanilla ice cream to the Decatur restaurant’s tempters. Slow down. Before heading for dessert, immerse yourself in a plate of creamed Georgia white shrimp with red Savannah rice or one of the other seasonal dishes catapulting local bounty onto the menu.

Tweep

Honey child, you'll have to sit down to sop up all the sweet tweets from Jackie Garvin (@syrupnbiscuits)
. The Southern food writer and storyteller confesses to be a pretty good cook and a lover of earthworms, rich soil, honey bees and Bassett Hounds.

Syrup & Biscuits is her yummy take on all things sweet, simple and sustaining (and Southern). Ponder this Syrup & Biscuits Southern saying over your grits, "A good attitude spreads like Kudzu."
