Kaleidoscope Celebrates 2 Years and You're Invited!
Kaleidoscope Bistro and Pub has two reasons to celebrate this season: the restaurant celebrates its 2nd anniversary and its on the same day as Christmas Eve! The globally attuned restaurant wants its guests to come out and enjoy a special three-course meal for $20.12 (see the pun?) Anniversary parties are all about tradition though, so K-Pub will still have its regular menu available along with some awesome drink specials, because what better way is there to celebrate than to raise a glass? The best part, there's no cover charge for this gathering. Dinner service begins at 5 p.m.
Also worth celebrating... if you have great photos of the first two years at Kaleidoscope, be sure to enter the restaurant's Facebook contest - the winner will win dinner for two in January!
Reservations are optional, call 404-474-9600 for more details.

Don't Blink-o or You'll Miss Out on Cinco de Mayo Fun
With Cinco de Mayo (May 5) falling on a Saturday this year, you've got every reason to don your poncho and take advantage of all the Mexi-specials around town. Kaleidoscope Bistro & Pub in Brookhaven, known by friends as Kpub, knows how to throw a food and drink fiesta. Starting at noon and continuing on until 3 a.m. on May 6, Kaleidoscope will serve up Mexican favorites such as pulled pork, salsa verde, queso fresco; posole rojo with chicharrones, pork shanks, hominy, radishes and queso Oaxaca; boleos stuffed with carnitas, red onions, pickled jalapenos and carrots; and homemade enchiladas. Wash those tasty dishes down with a $5 blueberry margarita, tequila sunrise, Mexican beers or jalapeno pineapple infused cocktails. The Original El Taco, Fifth Group Restaurant's fun-loving cantina in Virginia Highland, pours on bar bargains, including $12 22-ounce El Jimador margaritas and $4 pineapple-infused tequila shots. Taking the heat out of dishes like the smoked trout taco with sweet lime mayo, red habanero cabbage and yellow pico de gallo are $9 22-ounce Dos Equis Lager drafts in a souvenir cup and $12 buckets of Dos Equis Amber. Another Virginia Highland favorite, Atkins Park Tavern, is embracing the day with plenty of cerveza (beer), tequila, pozole rojo, taquitos, chile rellenos, palomas and margaritas. All three Ray's Restaurants - Ray's on the River, Ray's at Killer Creek and Ray's in the City - are celebrating with $5 margaritas. Wet your whistle with a passion fruit margarita made with tequila, passion fruit purée and lime juice, a pomegranate margarita or a skinny margarita served on the rocks with tequila, orange liqueur and agave nectar. And of course, Uncle Julio's Fine Mexican Food has two Atlanta locations that are always a great place to celebrate with their signature Swirl or your favorite margarita! With so many fiestas on Saturday, we predict a Sunday siesta in your future!

Chef Bands Take the Stage for Charity at Eats & Beats on May 7
Ford Fry of JCT. Kitchen & Bar and Joey Riley of Kaleidoscope Bistro and Pub have something in common that you might not expect. We all know they're skilled chefs, but did you know that they're talented musicians as well? Fry's band is called Five Bone Rack and Riley is one third of The Right Way Trio. On Monday, May 7, they'll take the stage and perform with two other chef bands at the Buckhead Theatre for Eats & Beats. Along with great music, you can also expect plenty of tasty treats to go along with those tunes. Sample dishes from top-notch restaurants including Chicken and the Egg, JCT. Kitchen & Bar, Kaleidoscope, No. 246 and Spice Market. Tickets to the 7 - 9:30 p.m. event are $60 for general admission and $125 for VIP (early entry at 6 p.m. and access to private premium bar, wine tastings and additional restaurants). Not only will this be the most fun you've had on a Monday night, you'll also be doing your good deed for the day. The event benefits children of sanctuary workers and Children of Conservation, an organization dedicated to the conservation and protection of endangered species in third world countries through education, habitat preservation and wildlife sanctuary support.
