Help Kaleidoscope Crawl for a Cure on April 25

Don't run, crawl for a cure this Wednesday in Brookhaven. Cocktails 4 A Cause presents a night of drink and food specials, live music and much-coveted raffle items at the 2nd Annual Dresden Crawl for a Cure on Wednesday, April 25. All event proceeds go to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and its work to fight blood cancers and to help patients and their families. The starting point is Haven, where registration takes place from 5:30 - 8 p.m. Guests set off for Valenza, Verde Taqueria, POUR Bistro and Library Coffee Company, then wind up at Kaleidoscope for the after-crawl party. $20 donation at the door. Cocktails for a Cure at Pacci Ristorante

Be a H.E.R.O. at Pacci Ristorante, a Kimpton restaurant, in October and November by ordering a Red Ribbon-themed cocktail. Pacci will donate $1 for each one of the three "Cocktails for a Cure" purchased from now through World AIDS Day on December 1 to non-profit HIV/AIDS service organization H.E.R.O. for Children (Hearts Everywhere Reaching Out for Children, Inc.). The three $10 cocktails for this year's Red Ribbon Campaign include:

•Rouge: Belvedere Vodka, Grand Marnier, Campari and fresh orange juice shaken with fresh raspberries
•Ruby Red: Belvedere Pink Grapefruit Vodka, Lillet Blanc, fresh grapefruit juice and simple syrup muddled with ginger coins and sparked with club soda
•VS Smash: Hennessy VS, Grand Marnier, 10yr Tawny Port and lemon juice muddled with pineapple and dusted with grated nutmeg

Money raised for H.E.R.O. will help improve the quality of life for children infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS across the state of Georgia.

Cocktails For A Cure at Pacci

We know by Friday you'll be begging for an excuse to escape all that family-time and grab a cocktail some place peaceful. Now, when mom asks where you are going you can be honest; you are going out for a good cause! As part of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants’ sixth brand-wide Red Ribbon Campaign, Pacci will be offering Cocktails For A Cure through World AIDS Day on December 1, 2009.

Guests can enjoy any of four Red Ribbon-themed cocktails hand-crafted by Kimpton’s master mixologist Jacques Bezuidenhout. Themed spirits include:

Grapefruit Spritz: Ketel One Citroen, Campari and grapefruit juice sparked with club soda
Bad Apple: Don Julio Blanco, Lillet, Angostura bitters, apple juice and ginger beer
Orange Blossom Fizz: Belvedere Orange, St. Germain Elderflower liqueur, pineapple juice and sparking wine
Morning Daiquiri: Ten Cane Rum, Grand Marnier shaken with fresh lime juice and orange marmalade

“Cocktails for a Cure” are $9 each and for each drink purchased, $1 will be donated to local AIDS/HIV charities nationwide.
