What's New on Pinterest? Taters on the Table

Calling all tater connoisseurs, spuds are your buds for an easy transition from summer cookouts to fall comfort foods. Cooking is supposed to be fun and relaxing, so let our One Potato, Two Potato board help make it just that. It tastes a whole lot better than trying the rock/paper/scissors method of deciding what to serve. Potato recipes are endlessly delicious. Pack up loaded baked potato salad for tailgating, pulled pork baked potatoes for fast feeding, egg-stuffed baked potatoes for brunch or bacon-loaded baked potato soup that fills in for lunch or dinner. Enjoy!

PS. Don't forget to snap a shot of your creation and pin it for the rest of us foodies to indulge in.

Milton's Fork & Screen on the Green in Historic Crabapple Wants You to "Meet the Parents" Over a Boxed Chef Dinner

Summer is slowly coming to an end, but that doesn't mean all of its fun activities are too. Bring your family, friends or special someone for a treat under the stars to relax and unwind after a busy day. Whether this is your first time seeing it or you know every line, midweek laughter is in the forecast when Milton's Fork & Screen on the Green shows "Meet the Parents" on Wednesday, September 11. In this PG-13 comedy, Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) wants to propose to girlfriend Pam but must ask Pam's father (Robert De Niro) for her hand in marriage. Dad happens to be an ex-CIA agent who puts the wannabe groom through the wringer. Yikes! Talk about being nervous to meet the family. Bring your own chair or blanket to the Crabapple lawn-gone-cinema setting. Let Milton's Cuisine & Cocktails take care of the rest, including delectable chef-prepared boxed dinners ($25 per person) and a cash bar featuring Vixen Vodka cocktails and FIJI water. Going to the movies just became even more luxurious. Movie viewing is complimentary; no outside food or beverages permitted. Showtime starts when the sun goes down. Reservations and more information: 770-817-0161.

Set Your Sights on Big Buck World Championship Qualifiers at Game-X Through October 13

Leave that ugly orange vest at home and stalk some prey in style during the Big Buck World Championship qualifiers at Game-X. Running through October 13, digital hunters will be able to show off their sharpshooting skills without ever leaving behind the comforts of air conditioning and a stocked bar. Sip on The Outdoorsman, a bourbon cocktail from the trophy beverage menu, to steady your nerves while you plan the perfect shot. And just try finding entrées ($9-$11) like the BBQ bacon stack, double stack, Buffalo wrap or Cuban out in the wilderness. The deer may be virtual, but with an invite to November's worldwide finals in Chicago on the line, the competition is sure to get very real.

Ford Fry Nominated for GRACE Restaurateur of the Year Award After Dishing Out Several ATL Successes

Love this award acronym and the chef who’s up for it. Ford Fry is a finalist for the Georgia Restaurant Association Crystal of Excellence (GRACE) award for Restaurateur of the Year. It is no surprise to see Fry nominated by his industry peers for this seventh annual award recognizing leaders who have made outstanding contributions to Georgia’s restaurant industry. Boy, has he! With restaurants JCT. Kitchen & Bar, No. 246, The Optimist and King + Duke under his toque, not to mention food and fun-loving community contributions such as summer’s annual Attack of the Killer Tomato Festival and People’s Food Truck in his pantry, it’s apparent Fry is a key ingredient in Atlanta’s diverse restaurant scene. GRACE winners will be announced November 10 at the GRACE Awards Gala to be held at The Foundry at Puritan Mill. The theme of this year's event will be a farm-to-table look and feel. Aside from a cocktail reception, three-course dinner featuring delights from the finalists, there will also be live music to entertain the night away. Grab your favorite people and join in a festive night honoring Georgia's most brilliant minds in the food industry. Visit the Georgia Restaurant Association website for more information and to make your reservation.
