Tickets are on Sale Now for Revival and ASW Distillery's Whiskey Dinner

Leave the wine in the cellar and the beer in the keg. Cocktails are the elixir of choice at a “Sip & Savor” dinner and cocktail pairing co-hosted by Revival, chef Kevin Gillespie’s Decatur restaurant, and Atlanta’s own American Spirit Whiskey on Sunday, Mar. 25. Gillespie and Revival chef de cuisine Nicole Edwards distill seasonal offerings and Southern flavors into five neat courses, each one complemented by a solo spirit or handcrafted cocktail. Guests will savor cuisine and cocktail visions such as an amuse of chicken liver mousse toast paired with Ameireaganach American single malt whiskey; a salad of radish, fennel, citrus and sweet herbs paired with American Spirit white whiskey in Miner's Medicine; North Carolina trout paired with a Resurgens Rye Winter’s Redemption; grilled, whiskey-braised pork belly playing alongside a Fiddler Boulevardier Bayou Fever; and plated local cheese, candied rutabaga and pickled beets with crusty bread chased by an American in Paris, featuring Armour & Oak Georgia apple brandy. A nightcap is a necessity, and Three Sheets made with Duality double malt whiskey tucks in next to dreamy chocolate bourbon pie with orange and pear.

Appetizing Aperture

Purists adore Simply French Toast on the weekend brunch menu at Food 101 American Kitchen & Bar. Classic French toast. Vermont maple syrup. 10x sugar. Why mess with perfection? Just eat it, and ease into a sweet weekend.

#Foodgram: Avocado Stone Faces

Ever ponder over what to do with avocado pits? There’s no place for them in the guac bowl. She released them, carving personality-filled Avocado Stone Faces. Enamored? Buy bronze castings of her carvings here.
