RA Sushi and a Show: The Green Market at Piedmont Park July 7 Chef Demo

Saturdays at Piedmont Park mean shopping at The Green Market, which boasts fresh and local ingredients from spring to fall. Thank goodness there are pro chefs at the market to show us how to integrate these ingredients into farm-fresh dishes. This Saturday morning, shoppers can count on RA Sushi chefs to be at the demo booth from 11 a.m. until noon. So, take a stroll and a roll all while gathering fresh produce and prep ideas. It's Prime Time for Sunday Dinner at Fleming's

We think it's about time to bring back the Sunday dinner tradition, and Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in Dunwoody is making it easy and affordable to get together with family and friends over a hearty meal. The restaurant is offering "Summer Sundays" - a three-course prime rib dinner for only $29.95 per person (excluding tax and gratuity) - ever Sunday through Labor Day weekend. Sit in the dining room to beat the heat or get some fresh air on the covered patio while you relax and chat over your choice of salad, 12 ounces of succulent prime rib with a side dish and any of the seven house-made dessert selections your sweet tooth desires. Although this dinner menu is available year round, the $29.95 price tag is special for summer. Need a wine pairing (often a necessity when dining with family)? Fleming's recommends that guests add B. R. Cohn North Coast Silver Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2008/2009 for the highly quaffable price of $40 per bottle.

Where to Feast on the Fourth

Do you think our founding fathers would run the Peachtree Road Race to mark the signing of the Declaration of Independence? It might be a bit hot in the jackets, hosiery and wigs of their day. We're pretty sure that they would be up for a friendly meal and a libation or two in air-conditioned comfort to mark the historic event.
