One of my favorite things about working with the restaurant industry is how quickly they come together to care for their own in a crisis. On Friday (June 17),
Ray's at Killer Creek is doing just that - they are raising funds to support Primus Sanders, one of their longtime employees.
On April 17, Sanders, a six-year employee in the Ray's at Killer Creek family, experienced a tragic, non-work-related fall that left him in a wheelchair and recovering at Atlanta's Shepherd Center. With no immediate family to help him as he rehabilitates from this life-changing accident, Sanders' Ray's at Killer Creek family has taken on the responsibility of supporting him until he heals enough to support himself.
This Friday, the Ray's at Killer Creek staff is holding a raffle for a set of MP-52 irons (3-PW), a JPX-800 driver and an Aerolite stand bag with a total value of $1300 -- all donated by Mizuno -- to help raise money for Sanders. You can purchase raffle tickets from a Ray's at Killer Creek manager -- $10 each or three for $20. To keep the love flowing, the restaurant is also hosting a car wash on Saturday, June 25 at Ray's at Killer Creek from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Stop by and let them wash the summer dirt and dust away while helping out their dear friend.
