High Time for Whispering Angel Rosé Spring Season Launch at The Regent Cocktail Club March 29

The Regent Cocktail Club invites its rooftop patio friends to “Spring into Rosé All Day” from 4 p.m. until midnight on Thursday, March 29. See the world through Whispering Angel rosé-filled glasses, priced at $10 each (regularly $15/glass) and nosh on passed hors d’oeuvre at this spring season launch hosted by Paul Chevalier, national fine wine director at Shaw Ross Imports (importer of this fine dry rosé from Provence, France). Lilac Wine pours out live music from 6-9 p.m. then DJ EU mixes and spins tunes from 9 p.m. until midnight for guests. Revival Opens Patio, Begins All-Day Service on Sunday

Two more Southern traditions unfold at Revival: patio dining and Sunday dinner (that’s the noon meal on Sunday, for those not raised in the South). With the completion and opening of the patio, Revival can now accommodate more walk-in dining guests and give diners the option of indoor or outdoor seating. By offering the dinner menu beginning at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Kevin Gillespie and staff uphold another Gillespie friends-and-family tradition, gathering at grandma’s house for a big meal around noontime on Sunday. Some might come with friends after church, some might sit down for a real meal with delicious conversation before the time-crunched weekday schedule rears its head. Evening diners, no worries. Sunday’s evening meal, whether you want to call it supper or dinner, is on as usual.

Cotton Calf Kitchen Herds Dry-Aged Steak and Classic Cocktails into Historic Braselton Brothers Department Store Building

The August debut of Cotton Calf Kitchen in the 111-year-old Braselton Brothers Department Store building circles the storefront back to its origins as a community hub satisfying appetites for good taste and providing attentive service. This time, however, groceries and dry goods give way to a classic American steakhouse where dry-aged steaks sizzle and cocktails and conversation flow. Partners Matt Ruppel, Hudson Tang and Cindy Green want Cotton Calf Kitchen to become an integral part of Braselton’s balance of historic preservation and a live/work/play/dine environment. To this point, the restaurant sits across Davis Street from a turn-of-the-century cotton gin building yet the patio will overlook the town’s anticipated new amphitheater. To, as they say at Gypsy Kitchen, Basque in the Sun. Totally doable. Come “Basque in the Sun” every Sunday between 5-8 p.m. on Gypsy Kitchen’s new, open-air patio overlooking Buckhead Atlanta. Sip a few glasses of tinto de verano, the “red wine of summer” spritzer adored by locals in Spain’s Southern regions and along the Costa del Sol, only $4 each. Get Memorial Day Weekend Started Off Right With a Fish Fry and Anniversary Bash at The Optimist

The Optimist is celebrating two biggies -- its one-year anniversary and Memorial Day -- on one party-perfect day, Saturday, May 25. The polished fish camp and oyster bar is hosting a fish fry beginning at 1 p.m. Keyboardist Ben Tanner of the Grammy-nominated Alabama Shakes will perform with bands Belle Adaire and The Bear starting at 4 p.m. The year has sailed by with regatta speed since Ford Fry opened The Optimist to give Atlantans the ocean edge they crave. The fresh catches and cool tunes will help cure any landlocked woes.

New Belgium New Patio

It might be a bit chilly outside but today's sunshine (especially after yesterday's crazy snow) is just begging to be enjoyed. Luckily, Marlow's Tavern Northlake is celebrating its newly renovated rooftop patio tonight with a New Belgium beer party at 8 p.m. Check out the refreshed patio, enjoy tasty appetizers and of course, drink plenty of beer! The brewers will also be in attendance, so don't miss the chance to mingle with the brains behind these newly-released brews.

Don't worry, if it gets too cold to be enjoyed outside the party will move indoors so there is no excuse not to show!

MLA Hearts JCT

It’s the time when I brag about how much I love my job, then flaunt our fun in front of all who dread sitting in traffic to head to an office they are still not quite sure they like. Last night’s episode: Drinks at JCT Kitchen. We got together to partake in the fun cocktails and catch up on the week’s events. JCT has a great bar on the second floor, which has both indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately for us, the weather was a little too chilly for us to sit outside, but as it gets nicer, I am sure this’ll be our second home (it’s only 3 ½ minutes from our new office – not that I was counting…) While a few of the girls took the safe route (wine), several of us tried the cool cocktails. Melissa and Caryn had the JCTea -- ice-tea infused gin, Grand Marnier, lemon, orange bitters, served up.

I had the Rough Rider -- vanilla-infused 10Cane rum, Mexican Coca-Cola, velvet falernum, served on the rocks – which, despite my girlish embarrassment from the name, was definitely strong enough for a man! Then, just to make sure we were hooked for life, the truffle fries came out. All I can say is I think we may need to do some studies to test the addictive properties of those fries…(In my best Schwarzenegger voice “I’ll be back!”)
