Wine, Food & Fun at Fundraising Event to Benefit Michael Bryan

We often take our legs and feet for granted...until a prosthesis-clad Peachtree Road Race runner bounds past, giving us at least 5K to mull over how much they've endured and persevered. Since being diagnosed with stage 3 pleomorphic sarcoma cancer in 2012, Michael Bryan has persevered through chemo, radiation, surgery, months of rehabilitation, the removal of his left leg at the hip, the addition of a prosthetic leg in its stead plus more rehab and therapy. Medical expenses have piled up beyond insurance allowances for Michael and wife Lelia, who had opened Vino Venue three weeks before the diagnosis. Vino Venue/The Atlanta Wine School, Flavors magazine and Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine are collaborating to help out by hosting a Friends of Michael Bryan FUNdraising benefit, and The Giving Kitchen is providing a matching grant. Block out the hours of 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, February 8 to hang out at Vino Venue in the Georgetown Shopping Center located off I-285 at Chamblee-Dunwoody Road. Top chefs collaborate in the wine school's kitchen, and guests will savor a contrast of sushi and Brazilian "low 'n slow" charcoal-grilled meats along with fine wines and craft beers. We're Bubbling Up With Excitement for 10th & Piedmont's Annual Event

The city of Atlanta is bubbling with excitement over 10th & Piedmont's upcoming event. From Wednesday, February 12 through Tuesday, February 25, the Midtown restaurant invites guests to experience Caviar & Bubbles. This annual event is a tasty experience that won't leave you, or your wallet, hungry. Mouthwatering á la carte items are made with farm-raised sturgeon caviar developed by the University of Georgia and perfectly paired with a select bubbly. Tempting choices grace the menu like "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" plate paired with Zonin prosecco. Larger sampler platters are also available to share. Kevin Gillespie is Celebrity Chef at BB&T Atlanta Open Charity Night

Kevin Gillespie is this year's celebrity chef for the 2013 BB&T Atlanta Open "Tennis on the Town" charity event. This event will be hosted at Atlantic Station on Saturday, June 20 and will benefit Y youth tennis programs for the YMCA of Metro Atlanta. The Bravo "Top Chef" celebrity and the man behind the newly-opened restaurant, Gunshow, will be cooking up recipes from his cookbook, "Fire in My Belly". The evening's signature cocktail is the perfect way to wash down the tasty bites. Atlanta Restaurateurs and Culinary Experts to Host Roundup For Ryan

Roundup for Ryan is an example of  Southern hospitality at its best! Culinary experts and owners of some of Atlanta's best restaurants are coming together to host this event to raise money for Ryan Hidinger who has just been diagnosed with stage 4 gallbladder cancer. 

Prior to receiving his diagnosis, Ryan and his wife, Jen, were on their way to accomplishing their dream of opening up Staplehouse restaurant. The fundraiser will be held on January 27 and will feature Atlanta's own Yacht Rock Revue. Over 30 Atlanta-area restaurants will be participating in the event including No. 246 and The Optimist.
