Kaleidoscope Opens Wood Stone Oven for Piping Hot Pizzas
The new Wood Stone pizza oven is a hot item at Kaleidoscope Bistro & Pub, and the Brookhaven restaurant is turning out gourmet pizzas with the blessings of pie-passionate diners (and the safety-certifying fire marshal). Co-owner and executive chef Joey Riley tosses nine 12-inch specialty pizzas onto the dinner menu seven nights a week. Choices range from the classic margherita to charred leek and mushroom to the Lando, meaty with pepperoni, fennel sausage, salami, mozzarella, pecorino and basil over a red sauce. Dinner dabblers, choose the Picasso and turn culinary visions into reality by creating a personal-sized masterpiece from a selection of sauces, meats, cheeses and veggies. Order one of Kaleidoscope’s draft beer offerings such as Monday Night Brewing’s Serrano Eye Patch Ale or Wild Heaven’s Ode to Mercy to cuddle while pizzas are crisping in the oven. Anticipating the popularity of pizza and beer, Riley has already added 1,200 square feet of gorgeous new space to the Village Place Brookhaven eatery. Call 404-474-9600 for more information.

#Foodgram of the Week: @hearthpizzatavern
We're warning you now; this is not a blog post for readers with empty stomachs. Once you take a glimpse at the perfect pizzas, refreshing cocktails and other tavern favorites on display at the @hearthpizzatavern Instagram page, you'll drop whatever project you're working on and drive straight to Sandy Springs to visit Hearth Pizza Tavern in person. Don't you
wish you could reach into your screen and grab a slice of their pizza, a spoon
of the seafood chowder or a few bites of roasted cauliflower? Not even
mentioning the Tuesday Tini's snapshot. Act responsibly. Close the site before
you get behind the wheel -- it's just too darn deliciously distracting.

Alert the Paparazzi: The Queen of Sandy Springs is at Hearth Pizza Tavern
Looking for the right way to show your thanks to the queen of your household on Mother's Day? Luckily for you, Hearth Pizza Tavern is tossing the dough and ladling the sauce on a new pizza dubbed "The Queen of Sandy Springs" that is sure to make your mom proud of your good taste. It's absolutely acceptable to say this queen is a little crusty and regally sauced. Tomato-rich passata di pomodoro sauce - not Hearth Pizza Tavern's usual homemade marinara - holds court on a healthy crust made from all-organic flour and its own natural germ. The whole outfit is adorned with whole, fragrant basil leaves and house-dried oregano. Queens and subjects, dig in.

Take Your Next Lunch Break to Try the New Menu at No. 246
| By: Jaimie Goss |
One of the perks of working in Decatur is the abundance of terrific lunch options at nearby restaurants. The new menu at No. 246 was designed for all the office workers out there who want to take a break from tacos or a footlong sub, enjoy a midday meal and still have time to make it back to their desk on time.
Most of the new menu items are around $10, so no need to break out the company credit card. Get the meal started with fried calamari with lemon, garlic knots or some crispy cheese for the table ($5-$9). Sandwiches include the eggplant or chicken Parm, sausage and peppers (pictured above), porchetta and the No. 246 burger ($8-$11). And while you aren't running a race, you are climbing the corporate ladder, so fuel up with pasta selections like the spaghetti and shrimp, wood-baked ziti and meatballs, agnolotti, carbonara and manicotti ($9-$14). To show your co-workers you're a team player, order pizzas like the salami, mushroom, Margherita or fattoria-style to share ($10-$16). Chopped, flatbread or house salads can be made for meat lovers as well ($9-$12). Finally, don't forget to add side dishes, like ceci peas, roasted beets, fries, Brussels sprouts, braised greens, fried polenta and crispy onions. Happy lunching!
