What’s New on Pinterest: You Say Potato, I Say Potato

You Say Potato, I Say Potato, either way, we say “ah” and “yay” to National Potato Lovers Month. Choose your verb and recipe to crank the vibe in these tremendously versatile tubers: creamy slow-cooker mashed potatoes, perfect roasted broccoli and sweet potatoes, spinach artichoke twice-baked potatoes, grilled sweet potatoes, loaded baked potato soup and crushed potatoes. Don’t fret the fries and fritters, you’ll find recipes for baked Parmesan fingerling potato fries, baked sweet potato fries and pan-fried sweet potato fritters. Spiralize them on skewers or use them as bowls for tacos or a bacon-eggy Idaho Sunrise. Later, gator…off to bake some taters.

Righteous. Kevin Gillespie Brings Müller and Faircloth into the Revival Family Fold for Decatur July Opening

Atlanta-based chef, restaurateur and cookbook author Kevin Gillespie is gathering family ‘round to bring Revival to Decatur in July. The new restaurant will serve elevated Southern fare and family style dining evolving from Gillespie’s own Georgia upbringing--with the help of a family oriented team including executive chef Andreas Müller and general manager Christy Lee Faircloth. Gillespie and Müller have worked together for a long time and share a penchant for preparing traditional meals with farm-fresh ingredients. Geographically, Müller and Gillespie grew up worlds apart -- Müller in a small town in Sweden and Gillespie in Georgia. Miles aside, the two chefs are close in experiences and interests. Both were reared amid multi-generational families, eating rustic dishes at home and fancier fare when visiting family in larger towns. Müller has worked alongside Gillespie at Woodfire Grill and Gunshow. Faircloth, who’ll oversee the front-of-house team, already has close ties within the Decatur community from her previous years in Decatur restaurants and serving on the management teams of Rocket Farm Restaurants’ No. 246, St. Cecilia and The El Felix. Large families are up her alley—she grew up with seven siblings and is mother to four children and two stepchildren. Follow Revival, located at 129 Church Street, on TwitterInstagram and Facebook

What's New on Pinterest? Taters on the Table

Calling all tater connoisseurs, spuds are your buds for an easy transition from summer cookouts to fall comfort foods. Cooking is supposed to be fun and relaxing, so let our One Potato, Two Potato board help make it just that. It tastes a whole lot better than trying the rock/paper/scissors method of deciding what to serve. Potato recipes are endlessly delicious. Pack up loaded baked potato salad for tailgating, pulled pork baked potatoes for fast feeding, egg-stuffed baked potatoes for brunch or bacon-loaded baked potato soup that fills in for lunch or dinner. Enjoy!

PS. Don't forget to snap a shot of your creation and pin it for the rest of us foodies to indulge in.
