"My Big Fat Greek Wedding" Comes to Milton's Fork & Screen on the Green Series on July 17

Food, laughter and the great outdoors are three of our favorite things in life, and Milton's Cuisine & Cocktails is bringing them all together on Wednesday, July 17th with a sunset screening of "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" for their Fork & Screen on the Green series. The hit PG-13 movie became the highest-grossing romantic comedy of all time and spurred oft-repeated lines such as Maria Portokalos' Bundt cake revelation of "There's a hole in this cake!" Pack up your comfy lawn chairs or blankets and leave the rest to Milton's: a boxed chef dinner for $25 per person and a cash bar with Vixen Vodka cocktails and FIJI Water sure beat the overpriced concessions and stale popcorn at the local theater. (Sorry, no outside food or drinks permitted.) Movie begins at dusk; no advance reservations needed. Planning for a group of eight or more? Contact Heather Testerman at 678-431-8753. Follow Milton's on Twitter and Facebook for updates. Call 770-817-0161 for more information.

Come Enjoy the Cooler Weather in No. 246’s Backyard

No. 246 has opened the restaurant’s backyard just in time for you to drink and dine as you enjoy the fall weather. With a deck built around a tree, guest seating and an herb garden, this is not the standard restaurant backyard. Diners should also make plans to come back once the new ping pong table arrives. The Italian-inspired eatery does not accept reservations for outdoor dining, but guests are welcome to make a reservation for the main dining room.

Dinner alfresco at Marlow's Midtown

I had such a yummy time at Marlow's last night. My roommate and I took our friend from Savannah there for dinner while she was visiting for a job interview (keeping my fingers crossed for you, Allison!). We chose the Midtown location because her interview was around there and she needed to get familiar with the area before driving around in Atlanta traffic. I've been to this one before but never for a meal. First things first, I love the ease of parking at this place - the deck is huge and completely free! We lucked out because there was a table available outside which made people watching very easy. Lots of couples, dog walkers, and strollers passed while we ordered.

The hummus appetizer is my favorite, so we started out with that. I was lame and only got a Diet Coke but Allison had the pomegranate martini and Sara (my roommate) got Blue Moon's Honey Moon Summer Ale.

Then comes the good part - dinner. Allison and I both got the lamb tenderloin wrap and Sara had the grilled salmon. On the ride home we still wanted something sweet so we dropped by the recently opened Yogurberry in the Terminus Building. You order one of the two flavors available (last night was plain and green apple) then add your favorite toppings. Perfect way to end a meal if you ask me.
