Smokebelly BBQ Cues In on Sunday Brunch Complete with Bloody Mary Bar and Mimosas

Buckhead, pull on your boots for the area’s newest and most kick-back Sunday brunch at Smokebelly BBQ. Highfalutin? Hardly. Smokebelly’s rep for casual Southern comfort and culinary traditions (i.e. chef-crafted barbecue) extends into its new Southern home-style BBQ brunch served every Sunday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Rise and shine to a farmhouse biscuit sandwich housing a fried egg and a choice of fried chicken, sage sausage or bacon and pulled pork ($11). Brace for the day over the Smokebelly traditional breakfast of two farm-fresh eggs, buttermilk biscuit, grilled tomato wedge and brunch potatoes or creamy cheese grits with a choice of bacon, sausage, pulled pork or smoked brisket ($12) or golden fried chicken breast and biscuits served with Smokebelly’s signature sausage gravy and two eggs made to order ($14). If it’s all about the omelet, opt for the Cajun jambalaya omelet stuffed with sautéed peppers and onions, spicy tasso ham and pepper jack cheese ($12). Open the day with inspired takes on timeless favorites such as sweet potato pancakes layered with sweet potato soufflé and topped with bourbon cinnamon crème ($12); smoked Benny featuring poached farm-fresh eggs over two grilled biscuit halves, served with beef brisket, chipotle hollandaise and a choice of brunch potatoes or creamy cheese grits ($13); or French toast stuffed with bananas Foster, cream cheese and Myers’s rum, garnished with praline bacon crumbles ($11). Smokebelly’s regular menu of BBQ tapas starters, savory sandwiches, BBQ plates, combos, salads and sides round out chow options.

Adult beverages play a strong role. Go spicy or tame at the Tito’s bloody mary bar ($10) featuring mixes, more than 20 seasonings, garnishes including pork rinds, bacon, pickled okra, jalapeños and more. Enjoy mimosas and Bellinis ($4 each), the Michelada (bloody mary mix and Miller Lite, Coors Lite, Bud Light or Dos Equis in a salt-rimmed glass for $6) or signature sips like the pear brandy-infused Nice Pear ($10) or Log Cabin ($9) built on a bourbon-maple foundation. Coffee cocktails, wines and draft, bottled and canned beers complete the picture. Come as you are and leave satiated and lovin’ life.
