Listen Up for Live Music at Ray’s at Killer Creek Thursdays-Saturdays

Big outdoor concerts and music fests are certainly part of the summer scene. For outstanding live music, fantastic food and quality beverages in an air-conditioned, intimate setting (i.e. forgoing heat, humidity, parking issues and crowds), Ray’s at Killer Creek is the place to go. The Alpharetta restaurant lines up top talent in the bar and lounge area Thursday nights from 6-9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday nights from 7-10 p.m. in June. Take a gander at the calendar to see who’s commanding the mic and when. Marty Manous plays June 16;Brandon Crocker performs June 17, 23, 24 and 30; Lauren Jordan holds down June 18; and Lee Gamble entertains June 25. Great tunes, no cover, no sweat.

Visit 10th & Piedmont on Friday Nights for Bubbles & Half-Priced Bites

The work week is almost over, and 10th & Piedmont is ready to help you unwind. Every Friday
night from 5-7:15 p.m., the Midtown hotspot offers Bubbles & Bites. Try any of Clayton's
champagne cocktails like the Habitual Hibiscus, Orange Barbotage with Grand Marnier, a 10P Bellini blended with homemade peach nectar, French 75 with Hendrick's gin and Cointreau or a sparkling caipirinha for $10. And since we don't recommend drinking bubbly on an empty stomach, make sure to sample the half-priced hors d'oeuvre. Some of our favorites are the 10P sliders, Southern pot stickers, lamb meatballs, goat cheese crispies, shrimp and scallop nachos and So-Co cured salmon roulade.

Friday Forecast Calls for Sunset Wine and Cheese Pairings at Ray's on the River

I'll be honest, I am not a fan of this cold weather. That's why when I saw Friday's forecast calling for sunshine and warmer temperatures, I immediately began making plans for the weekend. The first thing on my list is to visit Ray's on the River for their Friday night Sunset Wine & Cheese pairings. From 5:30-7:30 p.m., the Sandy Springs restaurant is pouring hand-selected wines and offering plenty of cheese to go with that whine  wine.

The cost is $25 per person and includes tax and gratuity - gorgeous sunset views of the Chattahoochee River are free of charge.
