Visit Bantam + Biddy’s location on Crescent Avenue in Midtown for Thanksgiving dinner Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to close. We’re talking perfectly cooked turkey, golden stuffing, homemade gravy, fresh cranberry sauce, creamy mashed potatoes, crunchy green bean casserole and, of course, Bantam + Biddy’s famous cornbread. What are you waiting for?

Big Green Egg Apps and More in Lineup at Ray’s at Killer Creek Patio Party April 3

Out behind the patio at Ray’s at Killer Creek, the woods are leafing, budding and flowering. It’s patio party time on Thursday, April 3 from 5-8 p.m. The faithfully evergreen Big Green Egg is ready, willing and able to smoke and grill up ribs in tangy barbecue sauce and smoked salmon toast points with remoulade to go along with other complimentary appetizer offerings, including veal meatballs in tomato sauce, crab-stuffed mushroom caps in a mustard butter sauce and goat cheese pimiento fritters with jalapeño jelly. Great drink specials and live music complete the idyllic scene.

Were you shocked to hear that we were branching out and opening a restaurant of our own this weekend? After a closer inspection of today's date, you probably figured out that The Publicist, the eagerly anticipated foodie speakeasy conveniently located in our office, was little more than an elaborate April Fool's Day prank. But give us some credit - it was a pretty great one, right? Fortunately, this week's Dish has the scoop on some very real deals around Atlanta. Aqua blue's $25 three-course, prix fixe dinner menu is available after 4 p.m. all month long. The Big Green Egg is heating up at Ray's at Killer Creek for a patio party from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, and Chocolate South is serving bonbons and taking names through May 1 for their "Name that Bonbon!" contest complete with some seriously sweet prizes. All that and more in this week's Dish!

MLA Opens The Publicist Restaurant on Atlanta’s Westside

After more than 20 years of publicizing Atlanta’s best restaurants, Melissa Libby & Associates is donning another toque and opening The Publicist Restaurant in the Lumberyard Lofts on Atlanta’s Westside. Not that the team is putting their public relations skills on the back burner; they’re finally sharing a culmination of culinary skills gleaned over years in the industry. Specializing in post-5 p.m. and late night munch outs, The Publicist will offer a 10-course tasting menu featuring items such as The Melissa, an energizing Red Bull and Power Bar combo. Order The Rafer and woof down leftovers as your main course. MLA awarded Bowen Betts Design their first restaurant design project. On the beverage menu, look for a big bowl of cold water for visiting hounds and a punch line for humans . . . April Fools! 

Name That Bonbon! Chocolate South Coats Confection Contest with Sweet Rewards

What’s in a name? At Chocolate South, nomenclature reflects fine ingredients plus a thick slathering of Southern traditions. Each chocolate-laden bite renders riches of premium ingredients and liqueurs, organic cream and spices, and local finds like Georgia pecans. How to describe such bonny bonbons? Hold a “Name that Bonbon!” contest. 

Through May 1, stop by the shop on Atlanta’s Westside, sample the yet-to-be-named confection and fill in one of the special entry cards with your suggested moniker (and your name, of course, in case you win). Chocolate South will select a winner to receive recognition on the Chocolate South Facebook page, in their newsletter and display case; a Southern Culture Box containing one each of Ray, Elvis and “Allmand” Brothers from the Southern Musician Collection and Scarlett, Scout and Stella from the Southern Literature Heroines Collection; and a $25 Chocolate South gift certificate. Feeling the sweet rush already!
