Dine in the Garden before Summer Slips Away -- Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails Garden Dinner is September 14

To cap the growing season, Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails is hosting the year’s last two Garden Dinners on Sunday, September 14 and October 12. This seed-to-fork garden dinner composed by chef Derek Dollar is complete with a farm tour of Milton’s Acre and Strawberry Fields, led by grower Peter Kohm.

Come hungry! This gathering kicks off with hors d’oeuvre and beverages to get your appetite going. Relish goat cheese toast with caramelized onions and candied pecans; spinach and frisèe salad with shaved butternut squash, green apples, sunflower seeds, Asher blue cheese and honey-cider vinaigrette; and red-eye brined smoked pork loin among other options from the four-course chef’s dinner with wine.

Appetizing Aperture

What’s more refreshing than a couple of days away from the city? Absolutely nothing. Even better, White Oak Pastures in Bluffton, Ga. is only a two-and-a-half hour drive south of Atlanta. With newly built lodging, stay a few nights and get rejuvenated. During your stay, get up close and personal with cattle and poultry by taking a farm tour. After working up an appetite on your journey through the ranch, pay a visit to the farm store or White Oak Pastures’ open-air dining pavilion
