Put Away Your Peeps!

Although I'm usually devoted to Cadbury Mini Eggs this time of year, we've found something way more exciting to fill our Easter baskets - and tummies - with this year: chocolate from LW Chocolatier. Their rich chocolates are made from carefully selected ingredients and are hand-crafted and hand-decorated in the European tradition, which makes them way cuter than your average marshmallow bunny. LW is currently offering elegant bunnies, chicks and eggs filled with dulce de leche, strawberry, lemon, orange and other fillings that range in price from $4 to $50 and will take your Easter basket to the next level. The store is open Monday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sunday, 1 - 5 p.m.

Chocolate & Champagne Tasting Recap

What I learned at LW Chocolatier's Truffle & Champagne tasting last night:

1. The owner is a 3rd generation chocolatier from Argentina. His father is still in charge of all the chocolate making for their stores (internationally and in the States).

2. LW Chocolatier's chocolates are made by them directly from the bean in Argentina and shipped to them every Thursday.

3. When they ask you what you want to try first, go straight for the dulce de leche chocolate. O.M.G.

Last Minute Love

In case you've been slacking off on making Valentine's Day plans, Eclipse di Luna- Miami Circle and Whole Foods Market have come to the rescue with events, recipes and gift ideas that don't require too much planning. While Eclipse di Luna keeps the party going for couples and singles with special cocktails and desserts in addition to a South Beach-inspired soiree complete with the sounds of DJ Mike Smith and percussionist DeShaun Williams beginning at 10:30 p.m., Whole Foods Market says home is where the heart is with romantic meal options, two dozen roses for $19.99, wine, gourmet cheeses and chocolates.
