Join RA Sushi for 11th Annual Nicky’s Week Fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, May 25-31

Thanks to community support and fundraisers like Nicky’s Week at RA Sushi Bar Restaurant, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is able to help children live -- without billing their families. During RA Sushi’s largest annual fundraiser, 100 percent of Nicky’s Week menu profits go to St. Jude. The math adds up: since inception and counting all 26 locations nationwide, more than $1.5 million has gone toward the hospital’s lifesaving mission. This year, the Midtown restaurant will offer the Nicky’s Week menu Monday, May 25 through Sunday, May 31. Order favorites such as edamame, Tootsy maki, shrimp nigiri, pork gyoza, sesame garlic chicken, garlic citrus yellowtail, plus a variety of select beverages. Nicholas “Nicky” Mailliard, St. Jude patient and nephew of one of RA Sushi’s founders, lost a long battle with brain cancer in 2005 at age 13. His courage and spirit won the hearts of RA Sushi associates and led to the Nicky’s Week legacy, a big “RAh” for aiding children battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases at St. Jude.

The 10^th annual Nicky’s Week continues through Sunday, May 31 at RA Sushi Bar Restaurant in Midtown. One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital -- that’s $1.2 million since the event began in 2005. All across the U.S., RA Sushi Bar Restaurant locations will offer a special Nicky’s Week menu from Sunday, May 25 through Saturday, May 31. Order up any of these items at the Midtown location and relish them knowing that 100 percent of sales goes straight to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Choices include edamame, Tootsy maki, shrimp nigiri, pork gyoza, chicken yakitori, garlic citrus yellowtail tapas, plus a variety of select beverages. The inspiration behind the effort is Nicky Mailliard, a St. Jude's patient and nephew of one of RA Sushi's founders. The 13-year-old inspired many RA Sushi employees during his brave battle against brain cancer in 2005. Since the inception of Nicky’s Week nine years ago, RA Sushi has raised more than $1.3 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

RA Sushi Hosts 8th Annual Nicky’s Week for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

In 2005, at the young age of 13, Nicholas “Nicky” Malliard lost his long battle with brain cancer. A nephew of one of RA Sushi’s founders, for the past eight years during Memorial Day weekend RA Sushi has celebrated and honored Nicky’s memory.  This year the 8^th Annual Nicky’s Week stretches from Sunday May 27 to Saturday June 2.  In honor of the treatment Nicky received at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital during his battle with brain cancer, 100% of the proceeds from a variety of menu and drink items will benefit St. Jude’s. This year’s special selections include edamame, Tootsy Maki, shrimp nigiri, pork gyoza, chicken yakitori, garlic citrus yellowtail tapas and a variety of beverages. Since RA first established Nicky’s Week fundraiser in 2005, it has raised more than $943,000 for St. Jude’s, all to ensure that no child is turned away from treatment due to the inability to pay. For the past seven years, RA Sushi restaurants have held a "Nicky's Week" fundraiser for the hospital in memory of Nicky Mailliard, a Scottsdale, Ariz. teen and St. Jude patient who lost his struggle against brain cancer at age 13. From Sunday, May 29 through Saturday, June 4, when RA Sushi guests order special Nicky's Week menu items, RA Sushi will donate 100 percent of the proceeds to St. Jude.
