Load your furry friend in the car and head to Barks & Beers at Der Biergarten in downtown’s Luckie-Marietta District on Saturday, April 5 from 4-8 p.m. This canine-friendly patio-season opener at Atlanta’s first indoor/outdoor German beer garden features beer specials for the two-legged species and water and doggie treats for four-legged guests. Good Times, Great Ales Are Brewing at SweetWater Brewery on March 5

If you love great beer and intense creativity, you won’t want to miss "Brew Your Cask Off" on Saturday, March 5 at SweetWater Brewery from 6 - 10 p.m!  Managing Partner Kyle Taylor of Atkins Park Tavern - Virginia Highland is one of 80 guest brewmasters crafting their own secret ale. Taylor will brew an American Pale Ale.

Who knows what's up the sleeves of his competitors from other restaurants, media outlets, retailers, charities and home brewers?  Your $35 online/$40 day-of-event ticket entitles you to unlimited cask samples. SweetWater brews will be on tap, and brewery tours will flow all day.  The benefits are big -- tasting, bragging rights and raising funds for event charity winner, the Atlanta Humane Society.  The top four winning brews and the people's choice will be recreated and served at SweetWater 420 Fest in April. See you there!

Pacci Ristorante Hosts “Home for the Holidays” This Saturday

If you’re looking for a pup to take home or just want mingle with adorable dogs this weekend, then Pacci Ristorante has the event for you. On Saturday, November 13, the Midtown restaurant is hosting "Home for the Holidays," an event held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to help the Atlanta Humane Society (AHS). On this special day, the AHS adoption bus (holding several loveable, furry friends in need of a new home) will be curbed in front of Pacci giving you the chance to interact with the cuddly canines on the bus and upstairs at AltoRex Rooftop Lounge. Executive Chef Keira Moritz will be grilling burgers at AltoRex and serving them with chips and a can of soda or bottled water for $5. Lunch proceeds go straight to AHS. Hot chocolate, coffee and apple cider are available for the people, while water and Chef Moritz's famous, homemade "Pacci Pups" dog biscuits are available for the pooches.

It's Puppy Love for Pacci at the Atlanta Humane Society

Pacci Ristorante’s Chef Keira Moritz paid a visit to the Atlanta Humane Society this week to present a check and donations raised during the restaurant's month-long anniversary celebration.  All the dogs at the Atlanta Humane Society also got to enjoy some of Chef Keira’s signature Pacci Pups as a special treat!

Pacci Ristorante Loves Pooches!

This month marks the one-year anniversary of Pacci Ristorante, an Italian steakhouse in Midtown that opened last May and was named one of Esquire magazine's "Best New Restaurants of 2009," and the restaurant is celebrating by partnering with the Atlanta Humane Society (AHS). Throughout May, Pacci will donate $1 to AHS for each signature carpaccio (Kobe beef or tuna) or new spring cocktail ordered. Many of the restaurant's guests and staff members are dog lovers, including Pacci's Chef Keira Moritz who has a border collie, and hold AHS close to their hearts. The restaurant is also collecting items on the AHS Wish List to donate to the organization. In honor of this partnership, AHS is naming a puppy that is currently up for adoption (pictured above) Pacci.

For guests who dine at Pacci and have dogs waiting at home, Chef Keira creates homemade Pacci Pups (a bag of gourmet dog biscuits for only $2) to go!
