Love street food but can't handle the hot temperatures outside right now? Head to The Original El Taco's "Mi Casa Su Casa" dinner on Tuesday, June 14 at 6:30 p.m. The Morningside restaurant provides a communal table where you can make new amigos while filling up on authentic Mexico City street cuisine. Highlights include the Torta Cubana (an overstuffed sandwich loaded with pork milanesa, sausage and more), Quesadilla Classica, ceviche tostadas, wood-grilled fish skewers with lime, elote (corn roasted with mayo and chili) and refreshing agua fresca. El Taco Chef de Cuisine Scott Keefer will be at the table to talk about the history behind these foods while you dine. Cost is $30 per person (including tax; excluding online service fee and gratuity). Purchase tickets here.
The Original El Taco: 1186 North Highland Avenue, NE; 404-873-4656.
