The perfectly measured packets of tsp spices has piqued the interest of Time magazine. In the July 3 issue, writer Jeremy Camp notes "Spice Girls" Katie Luber and Sara Engram have scored a home chef hit with their practical one-teaspoonful packets of high quality, organic spices - and could change the spice world with their novel packaging idea.
Hating how spices go stale on the shelf before being used up, Luber and Engram decided to seal spices in plastic packets and fit 12 packets neatly in sleek tins to give every recipe a fresh chance at pure flavor. Soon, Whole Foods Markets will carry tsp spices in four-packet cartons. Read Time magazine's entire article on the "Spice Girls" here.
