Saving Corks Adds More To Your Fork

I don't know about you but I have a gigantic vase full of saved wine corks sitting in my kitchen. I have no idea why I save corks I just do, but, happily, now my saved corks have a purpose thanks to Pacci Ristorante’s new Cork to Fork promotion. Midtown’s authentic Italian steakhouse is teaming up with ReCork America, an organization that reuses wine corks in everything from shoe soles, flooring, building insulation, automotive gaskets, bulletin boards, sports equipment and even soil conditioner. Pacci is asking patrons to bring in real corks from wine bottles and to buy a bottle of wine with their dinner. Pacci will deduct 2 percent off the total bill for every cork brought in up to a maximum of 20 percent off. I've got enough corks saved up to score 20 percent off on my next couple visits!

Most of us are already recycling our wine bottles at home; why not recycle those corks and save some dough at the same time? I'll be seeing you at Pacci - I'll be the one with a purse full of corks!
