Derek Dollar of Milton's Cuisine & Cocktails and The Big Ketch
Saltwater Grill and Doug Turbush of Seed Restaurant
& Bar, Stem Wine Bar and new Drift Fish House & Oyster Bar have been
selected for the Georgia Grown Executive Chef Program by the Georgia
Restaurant Association (GRA) and the Georgia Department of Agriculture
(GDA). GDA Commissioner Gary S. Black and GRA CEO Karen Bremer announced the
2016 class of five chefs on February 17 at GRA's eighth annual Taste of Georgia
Legislative Reception at the Georgia Railroad Freight Depot. These chefs bring
incredible experience and unique talents to the table and are already
supportive of Georgia products, according to Bremer. As part of the Georgia
Grown program, Dollar and Turbush will, even more so, foster relationships with
farmers to strengthen ties between Georgia farmers, chefs, restaurants and
consumers.
