Catch German Meatballs and Paprikaschnitzel at Der Biergarten Before May Rolls into June

Atlanta Braves baseball grabs sports page headlines, but in our books, classic German meatballs at Der Biergarten deserve some of the home-plate glory. One of May’s menu specials, the beefy orbs served with mushroom dill sauce over mashed potatoes ($7) are especially “wunderbar” joined by beer-of-the-month Konig Ludwig Dunkel ($9/liter). Schnitzel-of-the-month paprikaschnitzel is another May special to snatch while you can. The lightly breaded pork wears a blanket of cooling sour cream sauce made with Hungarian paprika and bell peppers ($23). House-made pickles at a dollar a pop are a crisp May munchie.
