Hopefully, golfers playing in the Adopt a Golden Atlanta 2015 Golden Open will skirt the rough while they’re raising money to help some of the friendliest ruff ruffs around. The annual Golden Open golf and tennis tournament cavorts around the greens and courts of the Marietta Country Club on Monday, April 6. Golf scramble registration and practice range open at 9:30 a.m. with an 11 a.m. shotgun start and box lunch. At 4 p.m., winners fetch awards and converge on a cookout, raffle and silent auction. Round robin tennis mixer registration begins at 9:15 a.m. followed by matches at 10 a.m. Players will net lunch, awards, silent auction and a raffle at 1 p.m. Register online by clicking the “Golden Open” logo at www.adoptagoldenatlanta.com.
